Earth Day Book Club & Litter Pick-Up

Carter County Drug Prevention and Red Legacy Recovery are partnering with the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library, Main Street, PEAK Mentorship Program, and Keep Carter County Beautiful to host a litter clean-up and book discussion in honor of Earth Day.
The book and a plant can be picked up at the library on April 14th from 11 am-12 pm or other pick-up arrangements can be made by calling the library. The book to be read and discussed is “No One is Too Small to Make a Difference” by Greta Thunberg.
The clean-up and book discussion will be held on Earth Day, April 22nd beginning at 2 pm at Red Legacy Recovery (413 E Elk Ave). Following the discussion, participants will journey through downtown and the surrounding area to collect litter.
Those who do not want to read the book are welcome to just come for the litter clean-up. All supplies will be provided.
