Main Street Elizabethton is pleased to recognize Brightspeed for its support of Downtown Elizabethton’s pet-friendly program. Through its sponsorship, Brightspeed is helping expand the district’s pet-friendly program by providing dog water bowls for participating businesses, making Downtown Elizabethton even more welcoming for visitors and their four-legged companions.

The new water bowls will be available at 38 businesses throughout the downtown district, giving pets more opportunities to stay hydrated while their owners shop, dine and explore. The bowls add another layer to Main Street Elizabethton’s ongoing efforts to create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners, complementing the pet-waste stations and growing list of pet-friendly businesses throughout downtown.

Main Street Elizabethton’s pet-friendly program encourages visitors to explore downtown with their dogs while reminding pet owners to be responsible guests by keeping pets leashed and cleaning up after them. Brightspeed’s support of Downtown Elizabethton’s pet-friendly initiatives will continue at the 5th Annual Barktoberfest, hosted by Main Street Elizabethton and Riverside Taphouse on Sunday, October 4, from 2–7 p.m. at Covered Bridge Park. The event will feature pet contests, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and a variety of pet vendors and resources. Brightspeed is sponsoring a Memories Matter Photobooth, giving attendees the opportunity to capture the fun from the event and take home a keepsake.
Main Street Elizabethton invites the community to grab their pups and join the fun at Barktoberfest on October 4. It’s another opportunity to experience downtown as a place where people, pets and community come together.
