Main Street Elizabethton is excited to host the annual Elizabethton Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in Downtown Elizabethton.
This year’s parade theme, “Stories of Christmas,” invites participants and spectators alike to celebrate the heartwarming tales, traditions, and magic of the holiday season. Floats will bring beloved Christmas stories to life—from classic tales and nativity scenes to family traditions and community memories—turning Downtown Elizabethton into a living storybook.
With a theme centered on storytelling, Main Street Elizabethton is proud to announce the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library as this year’s Grand Marshal. The library has long served as the heart of storytelling in the community, connecting generations through books, traditions, and the joy of reading. Just as Christmas is filled with tales of wonder, kindness, and hope, the library reminds us that stories have the power to inspire, bring people together, and keep the magic alive year after year.
“By leading this year’s parade, the library symbolizes the treasured role of stories—whether read aloud by the tree, shared across generations, or discovered in the pages of a favorite book—in shaping the way we celebrate Christmas and community,” said Courtney Bean, Main Street Elizabethton Director.
Entry applications are available on the Downtown Elizabethton Facebook page or https://mainstreetelizabethton.square.site/. The deadline to apply is December 5 or until the maximum capacity of 100 entries is reached.
Main Street Elizabethton’s mission is to preserve the community’s culture and heritage while working toward a vibrant, thriving downtown that continues to be the hub and heart of the community.
